Are psychic mediums real? Are they genuinely speaking to the "dead" or is there a better, alternative explanation for what they are doing during a reading? Could it be luck, for example? What about fraud? Or what if psychic abilities are true and the medium is REALLY simply reading the mind of the caller or client, rather than actually speaking to the deceased?

In this article we are going to take a quick look at 3 very common objections to psychic mediumship, and see why I do NOT believe they hold up as good explanations, and instead......at least for me, further bolster the belief that the "dead" DO in fact communicate, and a good medium can make it happen if we are open minded enough to pay attention..:-)

All Psychic Mediums Hire "Researchers" to Investigate Their Clients

This is super silly, and to me, MAY be the worst explanation EVER for impressive psychic readings. Did you know that in the late 19th century, famous mediums in the UK and throughout Europe were subjected to all sorts of intrusive investigations, including being followed, having their mail opened and read and even being subjected to full body searches before and after readings? While some frauds WERE exposed as doing research on their clients before sessions, the very BEST mediums of that day were never found to have been cheating....even though the skeptics insisted they must be.

Psychic Mediums Get their Information from the MIND of their Clients

This is another "weird" admission made by skeptics to explain verifiable information that comes through......simply because it trades ONE "unexplainable" idea with another. The idea is called SUPER PSI, and suggests that some mediums are SO psychic, they can actually perform telepathy. (but can't of course, talk to spirits because that's impossible..:-)

This gets to be a difficult argument for many debunkers, simply because they have to convince OTHER debunkers that mind reading is actually possible.....which their peers often reject as well. (I don't......but DO believe it's a weak way to explain genuine mediumship as well, especially because information comes through that the client did NOT know very often)

Psychic Fraud, Fakes and Con Artistry..:-)

Yes, there are fake psychic mediums. Yes, some mediums try to earn a living doing something they simply have NO skill for, or possess no real talent at. But the fact remains, trying to claim EVERY medium is faking, or cold reading, or guessing, or preying on people in grief, etc......is not only a BAD argument, it simply doesn't meet the facts. There is nothing worse, in my view, than trying to argue every medium is a con artist and can't be trusted when they offer VERIFIABLE information, because it's the "easy" way out! (if I can't explain what you're doing, or how you know what you know......I'm just going to call you a FAKE and take my ball and go home..:-)

The truth?

Psychic mediumship is not only REAL, it's available to be tested.....to ANYONE who is interested enough to get involved. Why trust an article like this one, when instead......you can TEST a psychic medium for yourself and arrive at your own conclusions? (plus have A LOT of fun in the process!)
